Sunny Wall in Mexico - Update

I worked on this today and I just have a little bit more work to do. The palm plant on the left still needs to be finished and then just some fine tuning.
The chair was a problem and it finally has taken it's proper place.....not the focal point, which allows the main flowering bush to be the center of interest.

I keep coming back to look at this! The play of light and shadow is perfect. Really a stunning piece!

Thank you Jo! Nice to see you pop in here.

Hi Beth...thank you so much! Sometimes you just don't know enough when you attempt a painting. You put it away until you do. This is the case on this painting.

Hi Holly, the shadow is what made me want to paint it. The challenge is not distracting from the flowering bush and shadow on the wall.

Thank you Ann...maybe that means my pastel classes and studying light and shadow have been worth the time and money!!
