"Double Trouble" in Virtual Frame

This painting is named for the fact that this rose was packed with petals!  I'm forcing myself to abstract and simplify rather than paint every detail.  My tendency when unhappy with how a painting looks is to add more detail rather than focus on quality of paint, shape, color and temperature.  I fall into my "drawing mode" rather than my painting mode.  I'm hoping since I am now aware I will stop myself.
