Doctored Pepper

Having great fun with my pastels for the last week or so.....this pepper reference is an oldie that I painted in oil last year but it has such great color.  For me it's all about the marks and the color.

I love that little stem, he just peeks around from the far side to see what all the fuss is about.

I really love how you compose your color -- the light pastel blue in the foreground vs. the intense orange on the pepper. It works so beautifully. The linear marks adds to a paintly quality, too.
