Your Bucket List?

Hubby and I went to see "The Bucket List" with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson yesterday. If you haven't seen the movie I won't give anything away, but as you can imagine the bucket list is all those things you would like to do before you kick the "bucket".

I started thinking about my own bucket list, places I would like to see, things I would like to experience. Since this is my art blog, I was also thinking about my "art bucket list".

Here are a couple of things on my art bucket list, what goes on your art bucket list??? I'd love to hear, and maybe we can inspire one another.

1. See one of my young students live their dream of becoming a professional artist.

2. While I'm in NYC seeing a Broadway play (on my regular life list), visit all the major galleries in NYC.

3. Paint the landscape of my Scottish ancestors...on location!

4. Find a "home gallery" for my art (fiber, and fine art) in Santa Fe, or some other art mecca.

OK.......Would you like to share yours???

Become a professional artist! (I'm already the 'student' part).

Have my own studio at some point in time.

Own a piece by Da Vinci (I have an obsession with this man lol)

Master colored pencils so at some point I can create things like you and nicole caulfield!

Go to greece

Get married in the caribbean (in the process of convincing my fiance)

... many many more.

And you'll definitely "see" me around a lot! LOL.

Thanks for sharing your list Jael...you're too young to worry about the "bucket" part ;-) Greece would be awesome wouldn't it?

I want to be like Nicole when I grow up, too! She's amazing.

Hi Regina! I like the word "dream" in association with studios. Where do you want to be published?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts in regard to the bucket list.

Great idea Cindy - I'll be linking to this next week.

Hi, Cindy. What a great list. Do I qualify for your No. 1 entry? ;-D

It's only a matter of time before No. 4 is realized.

Interesting...I just wrote a new set of goals this morning. However, they are short-term goals, and I don't want to leave so soon. Here's my list:
Visit Italy, visit Giverny, visit England, exhibit my work.

I'm saving money so I can take a trip around europe in a year or two :D it should be definitely lots of fun! Visiting Greece would be glorious.

Thanks Katherine! I'm glad you think the topic is worth a link :-)

Hi Fannie, You're already on your way for #1! I was thinking of some of the children and teens who I have taught....they have such big dreams. I remember the first teacher in 3rd grade, Mrs. Cleo Warner, who made me really think I could make my art dreams come true.

Thanks for sharing your art bucket list. What would you hope to find in the places you want to visit?

I want to visit the museums, galleries and historical sites I've read about in textbooks. I want to experience creating art in the gardens of Giverny.

I'm glad you posted this. It definitely gives me something to think about. On my list so far...
...find my style...
...travel to France
...travel to NYC
.retire from teaching public school and work on my art
...find a place to sell my art.

Fannie, sounds glorious...painting in the gardens of Giverny!

Hi Beth! Glad you shared your list. Your number one is something I think we all struggle with. My biggest fear was (and still is to some degree) that I would become technically able to create anything, but wouldn't have anything to say. I would say at this point, your work is distinctive....I think I could pick out your work.
