String Theory

"String Theory" Colored Pencil 10"x14" (Best of Show, Artist's Choice 2007, Lakewood Cultural Center, Lakewood, CO)

One thing you may not know is that I enjoy reading about Quantum Physics, Cosmology and Theology. I based one of my latest pieces on a physics concept called string or superstring theory.

This theory is the idea that everything in the universe is comprised of tiny strings of indefinite length. I believe the theory has been bypassed by M (M for membrane) theory.

Here is a great website that explains string theory:

Hi, Cindy~
I like this painting! I needed to take a closer look to see if the objects were placed on a table or hanging. Clever composition.

What ground did you use?

Let me know when you go public so I can place a link on my blog to yours.

Hi Fannie, I'm glad you like the painting. Yes, that was the crux of the composition....is the plane vertical or horizontal? It stretches the laws of physics in a visual way.

I used Rising Museum Board which is similar to Stonehenge for the support.

I think I am ready for the public..so go ahead and place the link. I will also add you if I can figure out how to do it.

Loved your new Snowman fabric postcard.

This is so much fun Fannie, I'm so glad I listened at dinner that night on the cruise!
