I'm done! I'm hoping the gallery owner likes them.
Now on to working towards a May Exhibit at Higher Grounds in Golden, CO. Still will be working on the small format paintings....a lot of square formats (4", 6") and some 5 x 7's.

I have painted eggs in pastel but never in oil...tough little buggers to make interesting. I'm not sure this will go off in the gallery shipment or not, but I thought I would share it with you.
Gosh, I love Colorado! I was coming home from Hobby Lobby (brushes are %50 off until the 29th of Jan, I believe) and as I was heading back west the foothills were getting snow showers. They were drenched in what looked like fog or smoke but it was really snow and then the sun was shining in spots and the color was orange. It was truly amazing.
Ah, Monday in the studio...another beautiful day...mid 50's.....Loreena McKennitt on the CD player. Ideal for painting......
Hope you enjoy the red pepper, Hubby picked it out at the store yesterday. He also brought home some other produce...tomatoes, cherries, onions. I told him last week to find some "sensual shapes", so yesterday he said he spent a little too long with the onions, as people were beginning to look at him. He's such a sweetheart.
Well, this was a challenge to paint...what was I thinking?? However as it turns out it's hubby's favorite so far. This sets a dangerous precedent in terms of difficulty for the rest of the year. But tomorrow I'm doin a lemon or something simple.
Happy New Year to all! May your year be full of whatever brings you joy....
